DATE OF HARVEST: 20. & 21. April 2005

HARVEST & VINIFICATION: Hand-picked and very careful selection of grapes in this vintage, due to the heavy precipitation.100% de-stemmed, cold-maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats and left on “skins” for 3 weeks. Aged in 85 % new and 15 % used French oak barriques for 17 months.

DATE OF BOTTLING: 25. October 2006

ALC: 14.5% VOL

TASTING NOTES: A nose of violets, spicy red and black fruit aromas of blueberries, raspberries plus a distinct note of plum with some smoky tobacco aromas leads to dense, rich,  full-bodied flavours and is velvety-textured in the mouth with a complex, packed character, all wrapped in a long lasting finish that just doesn’t quit.

DRINKING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 ºC

CELLARING: 3 - 10 years
