CLIMATIC CONDITIONS: quite cool summer and autumn with above average precipitation.
DATE OF HARVEST: 20. & 21. April 2005
HARVEST & VINIFICATION: Hand-picked and very careful selection of grapes in this vintage, due to the heavy precipitation.100% de-stemmed, cold-maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats and left on “skins” for 3 weeks. Aged in 85 % new and 15 % used French oak barriques for 17 months.

TASTING NOTES: A nose of violets, spicy red and black fruit aromas of blueberries, raspberries plus a distinct note of plum with some smoky tobacco aromas leads to dense, rich, full-bodied flavours and is velvety-textured in the mouth with a complex, packed character, all wrapped in a long lasting finish that just doesn’t quit.
