CLIMATIC CONDITIONS: Quite cool summer with high precipitation but April was very warm and dry.
DATE OF HARVEST: 28 April – 3 May 2004
HARVEST & VINIFICATION: Hand-picked and 100% de-stemmed. Cold-maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats and left on "skins" for 3 weeks. Aged in 75 % new and 25 % used French oak barriques for 16 months.

TASTING
NOTES: A startling nose of ripe cherry, wild strawberry, beautifully rich berry fruit and quite spicy and to some extent smoky perfume. The palate is complex, laced with cherry and plum layers of dark fruits, very pure with notes of citrus and star fruit. Length and intensity perfectly balanced with a minerally sweet finish.
DRINKING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 ºC
